Lammy in Belgrade: Protests are for government, public to discuss

UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy said in Belgrade on Wednesday that the protests following the Novi Sad Railway Station tragedy is something the Serbian government and public should talk about.
He said that he is aware of the large-scale protests following the tragedy and expressed condolences to the families of the victims. The UK is not getting involved… we offer support in line with the wishes of the public in Serbia and the wishes of the president to speed up the country’s European integration.
Vucic responded saying he would never think about commenting protests and demonstrations in the UK because he respects its sovereignty but added that he is proud that force was not used against protesters in Serbia. He also claimed that the British secret services know that no sonic weapon was used against the protesters in Belgrade on March 15.
