UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy said in Pristina that the United Kingdom wants Kosovo and Serbia to achieve a lasting and peaceful normalization of their relations, RTKlive reported on Wednesday.

Lammy told a news conference with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, that the next government will focus on the integration of Kosovo Serbs and maintaining a strong commitment to the EU-led Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.

“We want sustainable and peaceful normalization for Kosovo and for the relationship between Kosovo and Serbia. The UK is a significant contributor to KFOR. I visited KFOR during my last trip here and plan to visit again. It is essential for your security, and I hope that the upcoming government will focus on the needs of all citizens. This includes promoting the integration of Kosovo Serbs and actively engaging in the EU-led dialogue,” he said.

Lammy also spoke of the need to work together to combat organized crime, which, he said, is a threat to the region and society.
