Large and small incidents during EuroPride
A number of incidents took place both at the site of the EuroPride parade and around the St Sava temple where anti-pride protesters gathered.
A group of half a dozen people carrying crosses and religious icons managed to get past police cordons to where the EuroPride parade participants were gathering, treading on the rainbow flag which was on the road, praying and singing. Security guards managed to remove them in minutes.
Anti-pride protesters were also stopped by police in riot gear at the central Slavija square. The large group of protesters wanted to get past the cordon and head towards the parade gathering.
An N1 reporter said that a large group of football hooligans clashed with police near St Sava Temple, throwing firecrackers and torches at the police. The police cordon managed to push them back.

Through the day, top Internal Affairs Ministry officials were seen at police cordons. Minister Aleksandar Vulin walked from cordon to cordon to make sure everything was in place accompanied by Belgrade police chief Veselin Milic.
A minor incident occurred as the parade walked into Tasmajdan park when an anti-pride protester ran up to the wire fence put up by police, chanting offensive slogans and other verbal abuse. The man separated from a larger group standing on the steps of St Mark’s church at the entrance to the park. That group assembled on Saturday morning.
