Belgrade University Law School students strongly rebutted Internal Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic’s claims about their alleged lack of cooperation with police following recent attacks at the Law School that left seven students injured.
“The police responded to a call from the attacked individuals. We have maintained decent communication with the police throughout. They are currently inside our school building, reviewing security footage with us to identify the attackers and understand the sequence of events,” the students wrote in a post on the Law School in Blockade profile on X.
Earlier Tuesday, Minister Dacic said: “A request has been submitted to initiate misdemeanor proceedings against a person identified as M. R. (25). No other reports or actions have been taken. Those who requested assistance from the Emergency Medical Services did not report any incident, nor did they call the police, and they refused to cooperate with the police."
The incidents occurred on the night of Monday-Tuesday, when several students were attacked outside the Law School. Two students later told N1 that all the attacked individuals are fine and that they were assaulted by unknown men in three separate incidents.
