Lawyer warns of aspirations of unlimited power

Zdenko Tomanovic warned that there is more loyalty to political authority than to the law and the constitution. “Most of the people in charge of institutions believe that supreme political authority is the greatest good for the country, regardless of the law,” he said and added that there are no legal obstacles for people worshiping that supreme authority.

According to Tomanovic, reality is gloomy and there can’t be any understanding for it. He blamed that legal inequality and crisis of the legal system on an immature and irresponsible elite who have been destroying the country for years.

“The aspirations of unlimited power with a combination of cults of a leader and victims led them to try to normalize everything that is wrong… There can be no legal equality or stability in a country where the law and institutions are in conflict,” he added.

He said that there has to be awareness that glorfication of censorship, keeping the truth in the dark, submissiveness, the surrender of the law and liberties are not good for Serbia and its citizens.
