Lawyer Ivan Ninic said on Thursday evening that prosecutors have requested that five people, including Ivan Bjelic, an activist from the Svice youth organization, be remanded in custody for 30 days.
All five suspects are under investigation for violent behavior at a sporting event or public gathering, Ninic specified.
The prosecution has lumped these individuals together as a single group involved in one incident, despite the fact that they are strangers and never acted together, planned together, or coordinated the actions the prosecutor is alleging they carried out, Ninic explained.
He said the prosecutors allege that Bjelic threw a pyrotechnic device into the Novi Sad City Hall.
