More than 100 lawyers signed a petition requesting a special session of the Assembly of the Bar Association of Serbia (AKS) to address the state of the judiciary following the adoption of new judicial laws, lawyer Cedomir Kokanovic announced.
“Concerned for the fate of the judiciary and the legal profession at this critical juncture, we, the lawyers of Serbia, call upon the Bar Association of Serbia to urgently convene an Assembly to determine measures for the protection of the rule of law and the legal order,” reads the text of the petition released by Kokanovic.
