Opposition Green-Left Front co-leader Radomir Lazovic told N1 on Thursday that Belgrade’s main railway station does not have a usage permit.

The Prokop Railway Station is the Serbian capital’s main rail hub having taken over from the city’s old station which was closed soon after the Belgrade Waterfront Project was launched.

Speaking on the Behind the News morning show, Lazovic said the station did not have a usage permit when it was opened at a ceremony attended by top state officials, including President Aleksandar Vucic. He showed a copy of a document rejecting an application for the permit.

“I do know that none of the people responsible for that project ever said that it was not completed. Not the investor, nor the overseer, nor the construction company. There is no confirmation that the construction was in line with the project,” Lazovic said.
