A low-intensity earthquake shook an outlying Belgrade municipality during the night of Wednesday-Thursday, the Seismological Survey of Serbia said.

A press release said that the 3 degree earthquake shook the Lazarevac municipality at 00:46 am on Thursday. The press release did not specify the depth at which the quake happened.

It said that earthquakes of this intensity can’t cause damage to buildings in the quake epicenter. The Lazarevac municipality is about 45 kilometers from the center of the Serbian capital.

Stronger earthquakes have shaken neighboring countries in the past few months.
