Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that Serbia will not be able to sit on many chairs and that it, when it comes to its foreign policy, it needs to choose.

“There’s us, Russia, the European Union, the US and so on. But they will not allow it to sit on all these chairs,” Lukashenko said commenting the latest developments in Kosovo.

He said Serbia will not be allowed this, especially by the European Union “they are so eager to join.“

Commenting on relations between Belgrade and Minsk, Lukashenko said that there were certain problems, although the Belarusian authorities differentiate between the leadership and ordinary people.

„We need to differentiate between the leadership and ordinary people. If you were in my shoes, how would you see it all? Of course, we need to help the Serbian people and we will. We are this kind of people. But we take into account Serbia’s policy towards Belarus,” Lukashenko said.
