Maduro says Vucic is great friend of Venezuela, confirms participation at EXPO

Serbian National Assembly Speaker Ana Brnabic met with Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro on Saturday in Caracas, following his inauguration ceremony. During their discussion, Maduro echoed Brnabic’s sentiments about the strong friendship between Serbia and Venezuela and confirmed Venezuela's participation in EXPO 2027.

Brnabic congratulated Maduro on his new term, wishing him success and delivering messages from Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. According to a statement from the National Assembly, Vucic emphasized the importance of strengthening political dialogue and deepening cooperation between the two nations, expressing mutual interest in fostering their friendly relations further.

Brnabic affirmed Serbia’s commitment to expanding collaboration with Venezuela across all sectors of mutual interest. She highlighted the significance of Venezuela’s participation in the 46th International Tourism Fair in Belgrade, scheduled for February, as a key step in enhancing tourism ties.

Maduro expressed gratitude for the warm congratulations and Vucic’s message, referring to him as a great friend of Venezuela and its people.

He underscored the importance of bilateral cooperation at all levels, with a particular focus on tourism, and hailed EXPO 2027 in Belgrade as an excellent opportunity to boost economic ties between the two nations. He confirmed Venezuela’s enthusiastic participation in the global event.
