
Belgrade police on Monday arrested Goran M. (55) on suspicion of throwing a Molotov cocktail at the House of Flowers on Monday morning, Telegraf.rs reported.

The House of Flowers is the resting place of Josip Broz Tito, the former leader of Yugoslavia. It is part of the Museum of Yugoslavia complex in Belgrade, which also includes the May 25 Museum and the Old Museum.
On orders from the prosecutor’s office, the suspect has been placed on a 48-hour hold.
Goran M. is suspected of attempting to set fire to the May 25 Museum at 6 am Monday.

According to Telegraf’s unofficial sources, the fire damaged the entrance gate of the House of Flowers.
The perpetrator was quickly apprehended thanks to a swift police response. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
