Man arrested for threatening Belgrade chief prosecutor

A man was arrested in the southern city of Leskovac for threatening the top prosecutor in the Serbian capital, the Higher Public Prosecution in Belgrade said on Tuesday.

The press release said that the 40 year old man identified by his initials BV was arrested under orders from the High-Tech Crime Department for threats made in X posts against chief prosecutor Nenad Stefanovic who is reported to be close to the Serbian authorities.
The threats were made on August 15. The post included a photograph of Stefanovic and the caption: We don’t need to identify you. It included offensive language.
