Marta Kos tells students Serbia’s place is in EU
Just as you have come to Brussels, I would like all of Serbia to come to Brussels in the same way, European Union (EU) Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos told Serbian students during a walk in Cinquantenaire Park, located right next to the European institutions in Brussels, symbolically conveying that Serbia’s place is in the EU.

During the walk, on which they were joined by EU Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport Glenn Micallef, Kos said that it is up to Serbia to resolve the current crisis internally, and that she would help the country on its path to the EU.
Kos and Micallef met with the students outside the EU External Action Service building, just a few dozen meters from where a major welcome reception for the student runners was organized on Monday.
I welcomed young people who ran 2000km from Serbia to Brussels today.

After the meeting, Micallef said “Commissioner Kos and I welcomed inspiring young people from Serbia and listened to their views on the future of Europe. They ran an ultra marathon from Serbia to Brussels! A testament to how physical fitness can convey a strong message on European Values!”
