Advertisements depicting Serbian and Russian flags and the message “Russians and Serbs – brothers forever” appeared on several buildings in downtown Moscow, including that of one the leading media companies in Russia, Rossiya Segodnya, as well as graffiti reading “When the army returns to Kosovo,” reported Russia Today.
In addition to Moscow, such messages also appeared in Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Saratov, Tyumen and Oryol.
Similar campaigns were also carried out at the beginning of the year, on the anniversary of Kosovo’s declaration of independence, when a protest was held in front of the Serbian Embassy in Moscow, with the protesters carrying banners reading “NATO is the killer of the Slavic world”, “Kosovo is Serbia”, and “Russians and Serbs are brothers forever.”
