The commander of the Karaburma military COVID hospital in Belgrade said the medical facility is full.
Colonel Ivo Udovicic told the Serbian state TV (RTS) that the pressure on primary COVID facilities and triage centers was huge after the New Year holiday but added that “the pressure is on COVID hospitals now”. “The number of patients at the Batajnica COVID hospital is also rising and the smaller hospital like this one are already full… We are entering a critical stage in this wave,” the colonel said.
He said that the patients in the Karaburma hospital are mainly older people with about half of them over the age of 70. “Most of the patients are on oxygen but the pressure on the intensive care unit is lower,” he added.
