Democratic Party leader Srdjan Milivojevic claims that Novak Nedic, the former Secretary General of the Government of Serbia, was removed from that position, because a new correspondence of intercepted communications from the "Sky" application used by organised criminal groups has emerged.

"And why don't you tell us that Novak Nedic was fired because new Sky applications (correspondence) arrived, so they asked you to disembark him from the Titanic together with Vulin (former deputy prime minister Aleksandar Vulin)", Milivojevic posted on X.

Petar Janjic, who acted as deputy secretary general in the previous term, was appointed as the new secretary general in the Government led by Djuro Macut.

Novak Nedic previously held the position of Secretary General of the Government of Serbia for 11 years, and it was hinted last week he could be left without this position when he was dismissed from the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Official Gazette, even though he was appointed to the post two weeks earlier.

Nedic is one of the most controversial figures of the SNS regime and is often linked in public with organised criminal groups, but he has never been prosecuted.
