Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Internal Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic said the Serbian Government on Thursday adopted a decision to appoint Dragan Vasiljevic, the current Assistant Police Director, as the Acting Police Director.
Vasiljevic will serve in this role until the completion of the ongoing public competition, in order to ensure the optimal functioning of the Police Directorate.
Dacic said at the beginning of December 2024 that there are six candidates still in the running for the position of new police director, and that he will work to ensure that this selection process takes less than three months.
