Serbian Internal Affairs Minister Aleksandar Vulin said on Tuesday that he will not allow hooligans to jeopardize fans at sports matches.

“I want football to be a family sport without fences at stadiums. Every individual will be held accountable for their actions,” Vulin is quoted in a press release from his cabinet prior to the start of the Superleague Serbia.

The minister said that stadiums will be checked before games by bomb squads, adding that no factions within supporter groups will be allowed to make trouble at games.

The new Superleague Serbia season starts on Friday at 8 pm in Belgrade with local team Vozdovac facing off with Novi Pazar.
