Mondekar denies being engaged by Telekom

“It is not true that I am in any way, directly or indirectly, business-wise connected with Telekom, and that I have met or am meeting with any representative of the European Parliament or representatives of other European Union (EU) institutions on behalf of Telekom,” said Mondekar.

He said that, as an accredited lobbyist with the European Parliament, he adheres to the strict rules of lobbying.

“And in every oral or written contact with any member of the European Parliament I transparently say on behalf of which client I am communicating and state the topic of the meeting. I categorically declare that I have not engaged in lobbying activities or contacts regarding the report on Serbia’s progress, which is currently in the process of being adopted. Had the said meetings taken place, they would have been reported by the members of the European Parliament, who are obliged to do this,” Mondekar said in his statement.

In connection with this communiqué N1 reporters wrote to Mondekar asking if he has any business connections with the Adria Media Group owned by Igor Zezelj, whether, as part of this cooperation, he had contacts with the representatives of the EU Parliament and whether he ever had a business relationship with Igor Zezelj.

Mondekar is a former MP, member of the Social Democratic Party of Croatia, and EU Public Affairs Consultant. He has connections among top officials of the European Commission, a source in the European Parliament told N1, adding that several months ago he helped Adria Media Group owner Igor Zezelj buy the Euractiv portal.
