Montenegro PM says Serbs not genocidal

“To us, the Serbs are not and cannot be a genocidal people. That does not exist. No nation is genocidal,” he wrote in an X post.

He said that no one can say that Montenegro is condemning the Serb people, Serbia or the Republika Srpska based on the amendments proposed by Podgorica. “Serbs in Montenegro are a significant percentage of our population and we can never disregard that,” he added.

Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric lashed out at the Montenegrin government over amendments to the draft resolution on Srebrenica submitted to the UN General Assembly.

Speaking in parliament earler, Spajic confirmed that his government would submit two amendments and that it would vote to adopt the resolution.
