A new Montenegrin government must have seven, eight clear tasks, among which the most important are unblocking the European path and preparations for the new tourist season, Dritan Abazovic, former Deputy Prime Minister and the driving force behind the ouster of Zdravko Krivokapic's cabinet, told Deutsche Welle (DW)in an interview on Tuesday. The Montenegrin society is still polarised, he adds. Abazovic, the United Reform Action, URA,’ party leader, a part of the ‘Black and White’ coalition, is likely to be prime minister-designate following attempts to form a minority government.

„We are here to show that social cohesion is possible,“ he said, adding he would do everything so that „two Montenegrins“ would not exist.

„I believe that corruption and organised crime are behind every nationalism in the Balkans,“ he said.

Commenting on accusations that he worked for some foreign factors, „Serbia and the alike“, Abazovic described that rhetoric used by those who wanted divided Montenegro. He says he sees himself as a politician who has „come out of the matrix“

Abazovic added that „we defeated the (the three decades ruling Democratic Party of Socialist) DPS on August 30, 2020, and we have to build the institutions that have functioned like DPS,“ he said.
