More than 10,000 particiapants at eleventh Belgrade Pride March
The eleventh Pride march took place on Saturday under the slogan "We're not even close". Participants marched from Manjez Park to the National Assembly building, and in their speeches, activists pointed out that the LGBTI+ community in Serbia faces violence and discrimination.
After the march, a concert was held in the park, which lasted until midnight.
The march was organized as part of the one-week "Belgrade Pride". The organizers estimated that there were 10,000 to 15,000 people at the protest walk, so it is believed to be the most numerous march so far.
During the march, a counter-rally of opponents of the event was organised, but there were no incidents. Heavy police security was present.
