The Serbian public health institute’s CEO said on Friday that more than 8 million doses of coronavirus vaccine have been administered to date.

Verica Jovanovic, CEO fo the Batut Public Health Institute, told the Serbian state TV (RTS) that a total of 8,183,520 doses of vaccine had been administered and that 1,306 negative reactions were reported to the Serbian Medicines Agency (ALIMS) in the year since inoculation began.

ALIMS spokeswoman Jelena Mitrasinovic told the RTS that most of the bad reactions were not serious and were localized. “We had six clotting cases and just three of them were possibly linked to inoculation,” she said and added that ALIMS is completing the registration procedure for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. “We have requested additional documents and once they arrive we will complete the evaluation process,” she said.
