MUP launches large-scale operation against migrant smugglers

The media reported that weapons have been uncovered, while sources confirmed for N1 that a dead person was found Monday evening in the border area with Hungary.

The investigation was carried out by the Subotica Higher Public Prosecutor's Office and the death was classified as murder, said the Ministry.

According to the media, three people were wounded in a shootout on Monday evening near the northern town of Subotica.

There have been several armed clashes between migrants in the vicinity of the border with Hungary over the past few days.
