N1 reporter and cameraman were pushed away by the Gendarmerie members today during the operation to break the blockade in Rumenka, a suburban area of the city of Novi Sad.
A police member grabbed the hand of the cameraman, who was holding a tripod and camera, pushing him away.
„Don’t push me, I’m doing my job just like you“, said N1’s Ksenija Pavkov, reporting from the location of the student protest.
Students have continued their blockades today. At 11:52 a.m., they paid tribute on the streets across Serbia to the victims of the November 1 tragedy at the Railway Station in Novi Sad.
On Friday night, Belgrade’s protesting students ended their general strike day in front of the Serbian state TV (RTS).
The crowd of thousands observed the daily 15 Minutes of Silence in memory of the people who died in the collapse of a concrete awning at Novi Sad Railway Station on November 1. The student protest started with demands that include accountability for that tragedy and for assaults on the protesters.
