N1 Journalist Jelena Zoric wins feminist award

The fifth annual awards were presented online on International Women’s Day for the fifth time. “We celebrated the holiday with a feminist retrospective this year, recalling the initiatives in the past year, which was marked by the pandemic, which contributed to the political struggle and made the world a better place. The awards are for ecology, culture, support to marginalized groups, community efforts, media and the fight against sexual and all other forms of violence,” the press release said.

Jelena Zoric was awarded as a journalist battling against the system and patriarchy. Other laureates include the Krokodil Festival promoting women’s creativity, a doctor fighting the coronavirus pandemic, the PRETTY LOUD group advocating rights for Roma women, artists, journalists and musicians.
