N1 TV journalist Vanja Djuric is the winner of the “Queer Ally of the Year” award that is presented by the organization Da se zna! (Let it be Known!).

Djuric was presented the award for her contribution to the greater visibility of the LGBT+ population in Serbia and the struggle for their rights, which the members of the Da se zna! organization recognized in her daily work, her documentary on the pride parade “How Do I Explain to the Children,” as well as in her interview with a young man who was beaten by the police because they assumed he was gay.

Also nominated for the award were journalist Iva Paradjanin and singer Seka Aleksic.
