Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic asked the ministers and state secretaries at the Serbian Government sitting held Thursday to see to it that all the decrees and regulations that are in the procedure be adopted by mid-October, because parliamentary elections will be held on December 17, learns N1.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday evening that parliamentary, provincial and Belgrade local election could be held on December 17.
“I have spoken with a number of people, some are for, some are against it, I don’t think that’s a key topic, but you have to respect the opposition parties. They said the state is collapsing, that the economy is destroyed, despite the fact that it is ten times stronger than when they were in power, I disagree with everything, I accepted their idea, we are ready for elections starting December 17,” said the Serbian President.
Mayors of Kraljevo, Kucevo and Smederevo, all three members of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), handed in their resignations on Thursday.
