Tatalovic was accused by Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic of abusing the child at Tuesday evening’s protest in Novi Sad. Tatalovic spoke to the boy briefly at the request and with the permission of the child’s father which is evident on the recording.

N1 Reporters make sure that they follow the rules even in highly tense situations when they are exposed to tear gas, smoke bomb and are being obstructed by masked individuals. That was the case on Tuesday evening.

The short interview was just one example of how open N1 is to people from all walks of life and the N1 practice of allowing event participants to share their views.

N1 stresses that a child is not an object but a human being and a member of society and has the right to express views and opinions just like adults. That right is guaranteed under international conventions signed by the Republic of Serbia including the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
