N1’s Maja Nikolic wins investigative journalism award

Nikolic was presented the Dejan Anastasijevic award in the electronic media category which is awarded by the Independent Journalists’ Association of Serbia (NUNS).

The award was this year presented for the 18 time by in a row by NUNS, with support from the US Embassy.

The Dejan Anastasijevic award is named after the late Vreme weekly journalist Dejan Anastasijevic who covered the wars in the former Yugoslavia and the situation in what was the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in the 1990s.

Investigative journalism awards are given out every year for works in three categories: electronic media (TV and radio), online media and print media, on topics that are of great importance for the citizens of the territory in which a medium is distributed, broadcast or used, which reveal and prove unknown facts discovered by the journalists.
