N1 has lost one of its own with the death of videographer, director and screenwriter Vuk Dapcevic.

Dapcevic (1957) had a career spanning almost 40 years which started at the FAMU academy in Prague. He worked for and with a number of leading media outlets in Yugoslavia and Serbia, authoring more than 200 advertisements, reports and documentaries over the years.

He was part of the N1 TV team from the start, tirelessly covering numerous events and recording Serbia’s recent history.

He is known for interviews and work with global celebrities including artist Yoko Ono, actor Dennis Hopper, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan and movie director Spike Lee. He authored more than 50 documentaries and short films, winning awards at home and abroad.

He was a regular at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

Vuk Dapcevic left deep tracks on the Serbian media scene and inspired younger visual artists.
