N1’s Vanja Djuric wins tolerance award

N1 journalist Vanja Djuric won a tolerance award for her report on poor people who were supposed to get money to get vaccinated.

The report titled Social Security Recipients – Vaccinated have the right to payment but face problems was about poor people who receive social security payments and were supposed to have received 3,000 Dinars (1 Euro – 118 Dinars) as motivation to get inoculated against the coronavirus. Djuric reported that most of those people had not idea that they were entitled to the payment or even had any way to register for the money.

The award was presented at an International Tolerance Day conference.

The annual award for stories and reports in print and electronic media contributing to tolerance in society is awarded by the Office of the Commissioner for Gender Equality.
