Four new cases of attacks on journalists in Serbia were reported on the Council of Europe (CoE) Safety of Journalists Platform, the Journalists’ Association of Serbia (UNS) said.

The attacks, which happened in the past four months, include death threats to Drvotehnika magazine editor Dragojlo Blagojevic and editor-in-chief of the Leskovac-based Resetka news portal Dragan Marinovic, intimidation of investigative channel Insajder TV editor-in-chief Brankica Stankovic and the attack on a Bulgarian public broadcaster BNT TV crew near Bosilegrad, said UNS.

A total of 11 cases of threats and attacks on journalists in Serbia were reported on the CoE platform this year the perpetrators of which have either not been identified or court proceedings against them have not been completed, UNS said.
