The Presidency of the New Democratic Party of Serbia (New DSS) on Friday adopted a Declaration on Srebrenica, firmly rejecting the position that the war crime committed in Srebrenica constitutes genocide, the party said in press release.
The classification of this war crime as a genocide constitutes a grave political abuse of a clearly defined legal category, it said.
The New DSS explained that also expressed in its Declaration the position that justice, reconciliation and sustainable peace between peoples and states in the post-Yugoslav region can only be achieved on the basis of historical truth.
The Declaration will be presented to the public following the New DSS Main board meeting scheduled for June 9.
