“The Serbian government is continuing the abuse of procedures for spatial and urban planning in order to speed up the realization of the EXPO 2027 project,” a press release said.

RERI said the draft spatial plans for a national football stadium were released for public viewing in an illegal procedure which restricted public participation. It warned that experts noted a number of shortcomings and violations of the law.

The Serbian Spatial Planning and Urbanism Agency said on Thursday that the public session on the draft spatial plan for a national football stadium was postponed. The session was scheduled to take place on Friday in a cnetral Belgrade movie theater.
