The Archive of Public Gatherings said that Tuesday’s protest gathering in Novi Sad was probably the biggest of its kind in the northern Serbian city.
According to that the organization, there were some 22,000 people at the protest on the open space in front of the city railway station. Drone video showed a huge crowd on the square with a long column forming to march to city hall.
The Archive said the estimate was based on their video which showed the column marching down a wide street for 32 minutes at an average speed of 680 people a minute. “This was probably the biggest protest ever in Novi Sad with 3 times more people than at last summers protest against lithium mining,” it said.
