The Novi Sad city authorities made a second call for offers to make a monument to the 16 people who lost their lives in the November 1, 2024 collapse of a concrete canopy at the city’s main railway station.
The first call for offers failed because the only two bidders did not meet the conditions, the 021 portal recalled.
It said that the contract would be worth 3.9 million Dinars (1 Euro – 118 Dinars). The competition is award-based with the winner getting 2 million Dinars for the best design, the runner up 750,000 and the 3rd placed 500,000 Dinars, the Novi Sad-based portal added.
The city authorities want a 3-dimensional sculpture-architectural design which will stand on the plateau between the railway and inter-city bus stations.
