Ohio National Guard commander on 1st visit to Serbia

It said tht Woodruff and Serbian Armed Forces Chief of Staff General Milan Mojsilovic discussed the regional security situation and priorities in cooperation between the Serbian military and Ohio National Guard.

“With reference to the results of joint activities, which have been taking place within the framework of the State Partnership Program for almost two decades, it was assessed that they are intensive and meaningful and that they serve to raise the level of operational capabilities of the armed forces and strengthen overall relations between Serbia and the United States of America,” the press release said and added that the two generals confirmed a commitment to continue cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, primarily training and exercises and the development of capabilities of the Air Force, engineering units and cyber defense.

Woodruff will meet with President Aleksandar Vucic, Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić and Foreign Minister Marko Djurić. The press release said that the brigadier will attend an America's Day ceremony in parliament and an 81st anniversary ceremony of the WW2 Halyard mission in the village of Pranjani as well as the Strength of Unity military parade.
