Olenik: LSV demands "urgent nationalization and engagement of army to take over NIS"

"This is not a matter of politics, but of survival. Fuel must not be a weapon against Serbia. Serbia must once again manage its energy. Those responsible for giving NIS to the Russians must be punished in the elections," said Olenik.

President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said on September 25 in New York that the US sanctions against the NIS company will come into effect on October 1, after the US agreed to extend their non-imposition by just four days.

However, as the public broadcaster RTS published yesterday, the date when the sanctions will come into effect was postponed for another eight days, i.e. until October 8-9.

This eight-day delay will be the seventh time that the US side has delayed the application of sanctions against the NIS.
