The figures indicate that approximately 14% of the active workforce in Serbia are employed on temporary contracts, compared with about 11% across the EU.
The data suggest Serbian employers continue to rely heavily on fixed-term employment, particularly in sectors with seasonal demand or greater workforce turnover. Those contracts provide flexibility for businesses but less job security and fewer opportunities for long-term career planning.
Temporary employment remains a common feature of Serbia's labor market despite broader efforts to improve employment stability.
