Opposition backs out of local elections to support student ticket

The 8 opposition parties said they would place all their resources at the disposal of the Students for Arandjelovac – Youth Wins which will field candidates in the March 29 local elections.

“We realize the importance of the moment Arandjelovac is in and do not want to aid the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and its satellites to victory in any way to continue ruining Arandjelovac in the next 4 years. As we have to date, we want to behave responsibly and lead to changes,” a joint statement said. It was signed by the Democratic Party (DS), Party of Freedom and Justice (SSP), Movement of Free Citizens (PSG), New Democratic Party of Serbia (NDSS), Dveri movement, Citizens’ association The Town is Ours and the Monarchists – Movement for a Kingdom of Serbia.
