Opposition DS leader says parties can’t fight on their own

He said that parties need the support of what he called “the social opposition”. According to him, Serbian society has to unite in the fight for normalcy with the public demanding that the authorities restore their sovereignty.

“The academic community has to join in the fight to defend the election will of the people as well as young people, farmers, teachers, health care professionals and everyone else. Open a wide social movement to create an orderly state and just society,” Lutovac said.

He said the opposition should not give up the seats they won in parliament, warning that they would be isolated if they do. “Giving up those seats could be a mobilization tool in the fight but can’t be a goal unto itself,” he said.
