Opposition leader Aleksandar Jovanovic Cuta MP told Friday’s issue of the pro-government daily Politika that the Serbia Against Violence protests should not take a break over the summer.
“We don’t need to take a break, we need to continue the pressure on the authorities,” he said and called the people who want a summer break to say that in public. “I haven’t heard any of the people marching say anything similar,” he said.
He said that protest organizers need to come up with clear political stands and unite in demanding early Belgrade city elections in September. “Those elections were promised by President Aleksandar Vucic in April when he met with (Party of Freedom and Justice – SSP – leader) Dragan Djilas,” the leader of the Ecological Uprising said.
