Opposition leader: These people threaten safety of the politically unlike-minded

Opposition Go-Change movement leader Savo Manojlovic held a press conference outside the Security Intelligence Agency (BIA) on Thursday, a day after journalist Vuk Cvijic was physically assaulted, and listed the names of those he holds responsible for threatening the safety of politically unlike-minded people.
He said they include Alo portal editor Viktor Petrovic, editor of Politika online Dejan Novakovic, Srpski Telegraf director Milan Ladjevic, owner of Pink TV Zeljko Mitrovic and Informer tabloid editor-in-chief Dragan Vucicevic.
“The articles and reports with fake news, which are created at the Security Intelligence Agency, where this part of the service has been taken over by the political party in power, are created and released against the politically unlike-minded people. One of the examples is the news created against (Radar weekly journalist) Vuk Cvijic, along with the physical attack on him that has taken place,” said Manojlovic.
He said the city of Belgrade and other publicly-owned companies and republic bodies allocate huge amounts of money to finance these tabloids' attacks against politically unlike-minded people.
The first measure that will be taken after the June 2 elections will be to abolish the financing of tabloids Alo, Informer, Politika online from the city budget, said Manojlovic, adding that approximately 170 million dinars (1 euro – 117 dinars) has been given to these media outlets over the past two years.
