Djordje Vukadinovic, editor of the New Serbian Political Thought magazine, called European Union officials to register what he said is “progress in terms of rule of law and the fight against crime”. “It would be a shame if this progress was not rewarded with the opening of more chapters and clusters,” he wrote in an X post.

Green-Left Front MP Dobrica Veselinovic said that it’s clear that “the terrible scenes of violence on the streets for days are coming from the top ranks of the SNS”.

The Democratic Party (DS) condemned the assault on Djilas and warned that it was not an isolated, unpredictable event.
New Democratic Party of Serbia (Nova DSS) leader Milos Jovanovic said that parliament and all other institutions should be blocked.

The Movement of Free Citizens (PSG) warned that the intimidation methods used by the authorities daily are becoming increasingly repressive and have to be stopped, adding that SNS activists are involved in violent incidents every day trying to prevent students and the public from protesting and even assaulting high school students.

Serbia Center (SRCE) official Bosko Sindic said that President Aleksandar Vucic is pushing Serbia into an open civil conflict through an escalation of violence against rivals.
