Seven opposition officials were issued tickets for blocking the Novi Sad-Belgrade highway as part of the general strike on Friday.
The Serbian and Vojvodina provinicial parliament MPs, Novi Sad city assembly councilors and lawyers were taken to court with the police demanding custody for all but national parliament MP Marinika Tepic.
The opposition officials blocked the highway carrying a banner which said Meet The Demands, alluding to the demands made by students who want accountability for the deaths of 15 people at Novi Sad Railway Station.
