Opposition politician on Nis knife attack: The hand that held the knife was the hand of Aleksandar Vucic

Dean Natalija Jovanovic, a woman of integrity, was attacked with a knife that was in the hand of Aleksandar Vucic, said the leader of the opposition Freedom and Justice Party, Dragan Djilas, commenting on the knife attack that occurred in Nis earlier on Sunday.
"The attack on the professor of the Faculty of Philosophy in Nis is a direct consequence of the brutal campaign, because the President of Serbia himself publicly and aggressively targeted professor Jovanovic and her husband several times, calling her a criminal, underestimating her work and turning her into a legitimate target," said Djilas.
Today's attack is a consequence of the atmosphere in which the government used the media to create a society in which dissidents are insulted, dragged across the tabloids, targeted, isolated and - in the end - physically attacked, he stressed.
"Vucic not only bears responsibility - he is the creator, the architect of this kind of society. A society in which no one who has the courage to oppose the regime is safe. We all need to be aware that this is not the end - this is the beginning of a dangerous spiral of violence into which we will further sink, if we do not oppose the organized criminal group that governs Serbia," Djilas stressed.
