Opposition: Serbia must take shortest road to EU

Biljana Stojkovic, opposition 'We Must' coalition candidate for Serbia's president, said on Thursday that the mail coalition's goal was for the country should take the shortest route to the European Union.

She told the Belgrade Politika daily it was hypocritical that „the outgoing president“ Aleksandar Vucic used the war in Ukraine for spreading fear and panic among people to make them unite under one flag and the current leader.

„I am sure that people will vote with their heads and lungs this time,“ Stojkovic said, alluding to the often enormous level of air pollution in Serbia.
Serbia holds presidential, early general and Belgrade elections on April 3.

„An increased variety of political offers from the opposition side can motivate many voters to turn out on April 3, which would secure the change of the regime,“ Stojkovic said.
