The opposition walked out of a session of the New Belgrade Municipal Assembly claiming the law was broken by a Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) official.
Opposition councilors told N1 that the session continued after they left, adding that the opposition walked out because SNS councilor Bojan Bovan was there and voting. Councilor Tatjana Micic explained that Bovan is councilor and Traffic Secretary at the same time which is in violation of the law. “He was obliged to resign in February but he is at the session, voting, which means everything on the agenda is illegal,” she said.
A group of local people gathered in front of the municipal assembly building but dispersed.
